EKIN COLLEGE

We know that the happiest child is the one who explores their surroundings in nature, can use all of their senses, can socialize with their peers, and has spaces where they can put their imagination to work. Starting from this concept, we reflected onto the interiors a nature theme that is also in harmony with the building’s overall form and the rainbow colors on its facade. In the Ekin College project, the two most important goals we aimed for were to create spaces that meet all of the users’ needs and to ensure that the students enjoy and stay motivated during both class hours and activity time. Especially for kindergarten-age children, it was very important to have spaces that allow them to use their imagination and engage in physical activities.

We paid attention to keeping the designed forms free of sharp edges, and to creating fabric-covered surfaces instead of hard ones. In this project, the children’s safety, the development of their imagination, their ability to socialize, and their enjoyment of school during these first years of their educational lives were among our priorities.

Ekin College has been designed entirely by considering how our little students will perceive the space, their body proportions and the way they think.
